Hit your num-lock key.  If you are using the standard system.fvwm2rc
that comes with Debian (at least the one that came with Bo), the mouse
and key bindings are set such that it doesn't recognize many of the
mouse and keyboard actions if the num-lock light gets set ( a
situation aggravated by the fact that netscape likes to seemingly
randomly turn on the num-lock modifier).
