Oops. mod_perl was part of the apache_1.2 Debian package. Did Johnie
say why he dropped it?

You can build mod_perl with
perl Makefile.PL APACHE_SRC=../src/ NO_HTTPD=1 EVERYTHING=1
make
This will only build mod_perl with all features and not apache. (Look
into INSTALL. There are some more options.)

I have mod_perl with the apache_ssl package and I could easyly make a
separate package, but this would be compiled for apache-1.2.6 and not
for apache-1.3beta which Johnie decided to put into hamm. Since there
is no SSL-patch for apache-1.3beta yet. I don't know why Johnie
decided to package a beta version of apache.
