the announcement doesn't mention any change to the Qt license, just the
formation of a Qt foundation.
if this results in a new Qt license which meets the DFSG (specifically
the items regarding modifying source and non-discrimination) then both
KDE and Qt can go into debian main. i hope that this is what will
happen.
if not, then KDE still belongs in contrib.
this is definitely worth investigating, anyway.
