I would think this is an essential package if you want to do
anything at all with the ax25 stuff in the kernel.

1) it really belongs in the debian distribution. Tcp/ip operation over
   radio links is useless without it. By supporting it we can make it
   easier to setup for the user....
2) we should patch the kernel with ax25-module14x. This would make
   debian the first distribution to really support ax25!!
