Why you think this is a bug? The stable kernel continues to be 2.0.x
these days. You can run a 2.1.x kernel on your Debian box but you
won't find a Debian kernel package, you'll have to get the sources and
build a kernel yourself.

: smbfsx
: ncpfsx
I maintain these last two packages and it is not true that they replaced
working 2.0.x versions: there are smbfs and ncpfs packages in Hamm (note
the missing 'x')
Note: smbfs is waiting in Incoming because it was removed at freeze
time because of a small bug that is now fixed.
