Only if it was not installed by dinstall. (however, you would have to
put "frozen unstable" instead of "unstable" in the changelog).

I asked about the need of incrementing the version number
and James Troup just answered "yes" :-).

Well, we have discussed this already. The rationale for this is that
dselect must be able to see that a package is newer to decide to update
it.

Therefore, if the fixed package never got installed by dinstall, I think
you may remove it from Incoming and upload it again and there would not be
any "wasted" Debian revision number.


BTW: Does dinstall knows that the version number has to be greater than
the version in "orphaned"?
