Hi,
I've received a request for base@packages.debian.org.
I have little problems creating it because
a) There is no .dsc files that has a line like
Binary: base
or
Source: base
included and
b) There is no base_*.deb
BUT: On some systems one may find this package:
troi!joey(ttypa):/tmp> dpkg -s base
Package: base
Essential: yes
Status: install ok installed
Priority: required
Section: base

Description: Debian Base System Miscellaneous Files
While I get this on other systems:
va!joey(ttyp0):~> dpkg -s base
dPackage `base' is not installed and no info is available.
Use dpkg --info (= dpkg-deb --info) to examine archive files,
and dpkg --contents (= dpkg-deb --contents) to list their contents.
The question is, who is responsible for this package and to which
addresses should base@packages.debian.org bounce the mail?
Regards,
Joey
