It says:

"Successive lines of this form will be word-wrapped when displayed."

Ok, this is like TeX or HTML. However, even TeX or HTML allows for
*escapes*. If there is no escape here, this is bad designed.

     * Those containing a space, a full stop and some more characters.
       These are for future expansion. Do not use them.

dselect accepts those lines. Please, show me which "future expansion"
are we talking about, and why we need to forbid the use of lines like
that.
