I agree. Since package priorities (the override file) are managed by Guy
Maor, ftp.debian.org maintainer, I think it would be ok to have a "global
override file for lintian", maintained by Christian Schwarz, policy
manager. How does this sound?:
"lintian: error blah blah
If you don't understand why your files were rejected, or if the
lintian override file requires editing, reply to this email."
