Hi,

	I think you are on the right track, except that I would not
 restart the numbering.  The first ckermit then would have a version
 number 192-4, which reassures people that indeed, ckermit 192-4
 *could* be a replacement for kermit 192-3, and as far as I can see,
 violates no policy.
