Well, that depends on what you're asking.  :)

The whole of CPAN is 322 Megs, but that's including all the ports to
different OS's, architectures and historical source.  This probably
isn't what you want.

If you mean the part of CPAN that CPAN.pm currently accesses -- the
modules, that'd be 180 Megs.

I'm of two minds about an extra section for perl modules.  I suspect
that the positive is obvious.  The problem I see is that the model for
this is TeX/CTAN.  TeX is always used for text-processing.  Perl
modules will fit into just about every category.
