Periodic Policy Postings (PPP :)
Hi folks!
The recent discussion about the policy weekly postings did result into
several changes. I'll try to summarize the changes here.
(This mail is cross-posted to debian-policy and debian-devel. Please
send any replies to debian-policy.)
1. Policy Manual Online
-----------------------
The official home page of the Policy Manual is kept on "fatman":
http://fatman.mathematik.tu-muenchen.de/~schwarz/debian-policy/
There is now a hyperlink from www.debian.org pointing to this site.
2. Announcements of Policy Changes
----------------------------------
Any changes in the policy will be announced to the
debian-devel-announce@lists.debian.org
mailing lists. It is highly recommended that _every_ Debian developer
is subscribed on that list.
3. Policy Weekly Postings
-------------------------
The Policy Weekly postings will be distributed via
debian-devel (a single message)
debian-policy (splitted into a message for each topic)
online at the policy home page
Note, that the online version is a full HTML version. I think it's
_much_ more readable than the plain text version.
I'm going to leave the `Weekly' in the titel since I'm planning to release
this posting on a weekly basis. If I should not succeed, I'll change
the name :-)
4. Feedback
-----------
I really like to get more feedback on my policy announcements. Any
comments/critics/suggestions/whatever are appreciated!
