ncurses problem: Broken terminals in unstable

Since upgrading to unstable, I have seen various problems with rxvt.
(Misplaced characters, overwriting of lines, etc.)

I submitted a bug against rxvt but I am not entirely convinced that
the problem lies with rxvt. I noticed with some surprise that while
the installation proceeded, it asked for permission to update various
terminfos like rxvt and xterm. I said Yes to all these. (It shouldn't
ask this for all our users, it will confuse them, so it needs to be
fixed before release)

I am wondering if the problem really lies with the new terminfos
instead of rxvt. Is this a possibility?

The reason I think of this now is that previously I did run the rxvt
from unstable on a mostly-bo system, without the new ncurses stuff.
And it worked fine.
