Re: /usr/lib/libc5-compat in /etc/ld.so.conf
You have xlib6_3.3-6 installed, don't you? It is known to break lots of
stuff, the libc5-based libraries weren't explicitly linked to libC.
Install xlib6_3.3-7 to fix it. You may also wish to move
/lib/libc5-compat and /usr/lib/libc5-compat to the end of /etc/ld.so.conf
