There is no libc5 version that works correctly with NIS.
The new version will compile correctly on a pure bo system, but will
mislink some libraries if you compile it with libc5-altdev. Perhaps I
ought to correct this and release a version compiled for libc5 for
stable. There are many other changes though, and I'd like it to be
tested more.
