The downside of this was the svgalib shlibs file. It did have
an explicid version number. This caused the "Provides: svgalib"
from the svgadummy package to fail (dpgk doesn't do provides for
versioned dependancies).
So, unless you are sure there will never be a package that will
provide: your libraries, I think it's better to leave out that
version number (if you don't need it, that is). Best would of cource
be to fix dpkg (Or has it been fixed already?)
