I have always relied on this list to tell me about bugs. It seems that the
current incarnation of the bug tracking system never sends a bug report TO
the maintainer. It sends them to debian-bugs-xxx, but I never get them
addressed to me personally, so I often miss the report, or don't see it
till I'm cleaning out my inbox. As a result I utilise these reports to
tell me about new bugs. In particular, a grep of the Friday report against
my name provides a list of all my bug reports.

Yes, the file has gotten quite large of late, but, compared to the volume
of "other junk" that I get, it is a small part of the overall picture. I
realise that this is not true for everyone.

It would be nice if the report was maintainer specific, but I don't see
any pressing need for this specificity. Maybe others can speak to this
issue better than I.

Cool! I'll have to try that one out!

Waiting is,
