The rxvt authors have created a program that they have given away for
free.  I would be asking (some might say bugging) them to make it even
more free.  On the other hand, the kde people have used the rxvt code
in a larger set of software, which they intend to give away.  However,
they have a problem, since the rxvt code they borrowed has a more
restrictive distribution policy than what they want to use for kde,
thereby limiting the distribution of kde in its entirety.

Of course, the point is moot now because ...
