Well, I don't really know. Could you tell us what version of menu you are
using? (looks like 1.3, but I'm not sure any more). If it is the old
1.3, then the problem may be an extra space after the "\" at the end of
the line. Anyway, try upgrading to 1.4 (if that wasn't what you are using),
as that has _much_ better error reporting.

Or, maybe your file has the executable bit on? then it's executed as a 
shell script (would explain the strange error message format, it really
doesn't look like 1.4, but I don't remember 1.3 producing that eighter).
