Well, I don't seem to remember that remark in the original discussion.
Yes, it was made in the discussion you initiated about politics:

This was the first remark, that only had the word "Jerusalem" in it.
It had nothing to do with politics, only with POSIX time, althoug by
quoting _one_ line form the whole discussion, _YOU_ make it seem like
it's got to do with politics:

> > > > > > I'd expect that to be a problem for people in both parts of Jerusalem, for
> > > > > > example.

Then you start to say it's about politics:

> > > > > I am very sorry but I just don't think that debian-devel is a proper place

Now, cearly you must agree with me that claming that the above statment
can be "very insulting" is rather strange. All Kai said was that in
Jerusalem different calenders may be in use. Can that be insulting? No,
that's just a fact, a fact that nobody disputes.

Because you start claiming that Kai's email "can be very insulting",
Kai replies with another fact:
> > > > I was talking about calendars, not about Israels blatant disregard for
> > > > international law.

Yes, although this is a fact too, this one can be insulting. But you
provoked Kai into saying this, by extracting _one_ line from his email,
and claim it "can be very insulting".

Yes, this is not the right place for this discussion, I agree with you
there. But the discussion about Israel was started by you, Kai didn't
stay anthing that could be eighter be seen as politics, or could be
seen as insulting (well, it could be, if you extract one single
line from his emails and remove all contex as you did).
