 It would be something like this:

newton:~/src/deb/manpages-1.15$ du -c man{1,4,5,6,7,8}
3       man1
123     man4
147     man5
3       man6
121     man7
8       man8
405     total
newton:~/src/deb/manpages-1.15$ du -c man{2,3}
712     man2
895     man3
1607    total

 So, if you don't do development, and don't even have gcc installed, you
may be able to save 1600 kb of hd space.
