master.debian.org inconsistency in Packages file

As I noticed, Package file in hamm is updated only once a day at 1900
GMT. But sometimes, there is only .new-packages file left. That can
make a delay of few days between Package file, and actual files in
distribution. There were even days (like yesterday) when files were
only half an hour older. That can make your mirror inconsistent almost 
all of the time for unstable, and even frozen. That also leads to
unusability of dpkg-ftp dselect method.

Now the question. Is there any strong reason not to update Packages
file every hour on master, few hours at least?
