I'm no lawyer either, but I remember that Kerberos had their hooks
extracted from the international version before it was allowed to
be exported. Someone in Europe (Germany?) had to create a version
with the hooks back in, and you had to fetch the crypto part separatly
from Australia (having the packets pass through the U.S. in my case :-)
This was about 5 years ago, so it may very well be out of date.
