Debians compatibility with my computer
While I have read the compatibility documentation, I found that it is not always
specific about what exactly is or is not supported. If I can, I would like to
give you hardware info on my system to see if the Devian distribution has the
appropriate device drivers.
PROCESSOR: PENTIUM 133MHZ
MEMORY: 32MB
CDROM: 4x CDG-R542B
SOUNDCARD: SND-288AMSP SOUNDBLASTER PRO COMPATIBLE
HARD DRIVE: WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR 12600
VIDEO CARD: CIRRUS LOGIC CD5430
FAX/MODEM: 28.8AMSP MODEM FAX D/V/S
ZIP DRIVE: IOMEGA ZD-100P
The fax/modem and sound card are integrated. Most of these devices say Packard Bell,
so I do not know whether they actually manufactured them. Thank you for reading this.
