Re: About using Linuxconf

This is an example dropin file (for samba) I pulled it off the linuxconf
ftp archive, is it really so complicated.

key.name samba
key.revision 1
key.desc Samba file/print server (redhat)
key.startafter
key.startlevel 2
key.stoplevel 2
key.module
cmd.start /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start
cmd.stop /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb stop
cmd.reload
cmd.boot
cmd.process smbd
path.monitor /etc/smb.conf
path.pidfile
key.noreload 1

Personally, I would agree that it is more complicated than the rc.d
scripts, however it is still understandable and much more powerfull.
