Luckily, none do.
We probably need a small paragraph added somewhere in policy -
3.13 Calling an editor
Some programs need to call a default editor for the user. The program
should try the following three alternatives, in the given order: the
VISUAL environment variable, the EDITOR environment variable, and
"/bin/ae". If one of the environment variables is set, but points to
a nonexistent editor, the program should not continue to the next
alternative.
If both variables are unset and /bin/ae does not exist, the program
should give a meaningful error. For example, "Couldn't find an editor
after trying VISUAL, EDITOR, and /bin/ae."
