No, it's not orphaned.  I've just not been in Debian package making
mode and I don't have the facilities to test binary compatibility of
slang 0.99.34 and 0.99.36.  When I release .36 I think we may need
several months to verify that it doesn't do weird things.  And I was
waiting for the excitment and confusion of Debian 1.2's immanent
release.  Early next month.  Worry about other more important Debian
things until then.
