I noticed the same problem. Either we install the pages uncompressed,
or we find or write a program to modify the local links to the
compressed names. It _should_ be relatively easy to write such a
program. I assume Perl has nice library code for dealing with HTML;
if not, Python has (I'm suggesting Perl only because it's installed
on every Debian system).
