I think it's a great idea to have online magazines included in Debian.
This could be a step to create a more user-friendly system (if it's not
already :-)
I personally would like to have the Linux Gazette included in Debian.
Perhaps I will package it -- if no one else is working on this or has
_much_ time left.
I don't know the current status of our web-docu in Debian, but I saw a
first draft of a Debian web page system some time ago. It would be nice if
we had a package (or does this already exist?) that installs a simple web
hierarchie (package depends on a web server) where one can read man pages
via cgi, for example. This package should also include the Debian FAQ and
other Debian docs and should have nice pointers to them. It would be nice
if this package contains some nice GIF's for prev/next page, etc.
Then this package should install a few scripts so that other packages
could "register" their web docs so that they appear in the home page or
a sub page. (Similar to adding a info file to the info dir or the menu
of fvwm.)
And our online mags should do that too.
Do we already have something like that or is there someone working on
this? I might want to create some nice web pages for this. (If nobody
has done something like that I will start the project.)
Just my 2 cents,
Chris
