Bug#4977: Unnecessary pause in fort77 installation.
Package: fort77
Version: 1.11-1
After installation of this package the two paragraph "GOT YOU!!" message
appears and the process stalls (yes, I now know it was waiting on a new
line) with no indication of the proper action to be taken by the operator.
Aside from the fact that I concider this message unwarrented, unnecessary,
and in poor taste, it should, at least, have instructions about how to
continue, like: PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE:_
I maintain several packages that I don't use myself. I don't see any
purpose being served by advertizing these facts. If the maintainer wants
someone else to maintain this package it should be placed on the list of
"packages wanting".
This message does not create the proper image for this distribution, but
if the maintainer must continue to advertise in this fashion, take the
input stall out of the script. Then only people studying the logs of the
transaction need pay any attention to this message.
Thanks,
Dwarf
