Does the libc5.4.7 package include a shlibs file that says packages
installed with it must be >= 5.4.7? If so that solves the backward
compatibility problem. Me, I'm scared to use it and the maintainer
hasn't (yet) allayed my fears.
I just verified that libc5.4.7 doesn't include a shlibs package. I'll
submit a but presently and if I'm wrong the maintainer can close it.
