Bug#4909: lynx, mailcap, ...

I'm glad this is being looked at, but in my personal case it was
just my fault (see below).  If it turns out I have unwittingly
drawn attention to a bug in a package, then excellent.

I don't fully understand the install-mime program's semantics,
(and this is not the list for me to learn them on of course),
but another person sent me this info:

This seems to fix the problem for me.  AFAIK, I don't think
Debian tries to do anything with DISPLAY by itself, except
whatever is in X.

As far as the install mime and so on, I have been manually
twiddling with the related file for long enough that I don't
think my case is the general case any more ;) so I must plead
ignorance of how well all that works, except to say I'm glad it
is getting more automated --> thanks, guys!  I have to say that
while other Linux distributions are good at providing a decent
system, I am glad of Debian's interest in improving on the
design of the installation ie with mime-install and /etc/init.d/
and so on.
