It was not designed to do so. Ae gets it's key bindings from /etc/ae.rc or
from a local ae.rc (ie in your home directory).
As far as I can tell, this program was never intended to run under an
xterm.
If you can not make the designed keybindings work properly, please contact
me off the list.
