Everyone who saw my previous posting: please try Kim's posted script
instead !

Hmm.  I'll call install-info first :-).

dpkg 1.2.3 is the latest version, stuck in Incoming

I've changed --force-help, this will be in 1.2.4.  Having it enabled
is essential, or the installation tends to bomb out.  There are still
too many bugs of this form.

Bear in mind that previous dpkg's would do silently what the new ones
complain about doing.
