This sounds find... if RMS is prepared to act on his words and, e.g.
actively stimulates the merger of Linux libc and GNU libc, instead of
wasting time on splitting hairs.

Also, in order to mend the split perceived by RMS, it might be wise
for the GNU core developers to setup a GNU-wide public bug tracking system 
along the lines of the Debian one. One of the reasons that linux-specific
software arises, is that the linux developers / linux distribution 
package maintainers, appear to be more visible to the public than the
GNU core maintainers. This is not just a matter of naming the system,
it's a matter of policy on how to deal with the end user.
