Bug#2956: beta experience
i installed the debian beta on a pentium pc. the installation went basically ok.
sometime during the initial installation i saw on the console "uname not found" or
something like that, but it didn't seem to have no effect.
the real problem that i had was lack of nfs support on the installation kernel.
without nfs support, i was not able to use deselect to install the rest of the
packages. so i had to first compile a new kernel on another machine.
when installing the rest of the packages using deselect, i got an error in the
installation of package gcc. there was a conflict with cpp and therefore was not
installed.
