Package: base installation Debian1.1 Package: cdtool-1.0-5 I had a slip-up in the installation of /dev/hdc (which is the path for my cdrom). The system as was installed from the floppies has read permissions for root and the group 'disk', but not others. So no one else could play the cdrom except root! --Derek Lee
