Bug#2914: no subject)
This might be due to bootflopies not using the latest version of kbd.
Bruce, could please check master for kbd-0.90-6?
In any case the current policy to write system configuration data into
the scripts is real bad. I have already discussed that subject with
Miquel v.S. (sysvinit author/maintainer) and we both agreed that
debian needs something like /etc/defaults/ or /etc/config.d/ badly.
Work on this is under way, the 0.90-6 version of kbd already supports
the setting of console options in /etc/defaults/console, but this is
purely experimental and is not recommended (the directory name might
change as might the names of the options).
