This is a new package.

FVWM is an ICCCM compliant window manager for X11 created by Robert
Nation and derived originally from twm code. Fvwm2 is the long-awaited
successor to fvwm1.

!!FVWM2 HAS _NOT_ YET BEEN OFFICIALLY RELEASED!! This is a _BETA_,
pre-release copy, please treat it as such.


Features Common to 1.xx and 2.xx:
     Multiple Disjoint Large Virtual Desktops
     Smaller memory usage (more so in 1.xx)
     Dynamically extensable via modules
     Recognizes Motif MWM hints

Features New to 2.xx:
     New more powerful and sensible rc file format
     Change more features on per-window basis
     Change many features on the fly
     Pixmaps can be used as title-bar buttons
     Pixmaps in menus

NOTE: Fvwm2 takes over icons and modules from fvwm-1.24r, so, once
you've installed fvwm2 you shouldn't uninstall it. Future versions of
fvwm1 will 'depend' on fvwm2.

 FVWM2 is a fairly small window manager which provides
 a three-dimensional appearance and a virtual desktop,
 complete with colour icons.

 The is version 2, and is currently in BETA testing. Both
 fvwm and fvwm2 can co-exist on a system.
