Bug#2725: syslogd won't install

Package: sysklogd
Version: 1.3-1

1. after fixing the bug 2722 by hand "dpkg --install sysklogd-1.3-1.deb"
   gives the following error:

Setting up syslogd ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/syslogd.postinst: /etc/init.d/syslogd: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing syslogd (--install):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 syslogd

The package seems to change between the names syslogd and sysklogd
   quite often.

2. The package removes links in /etc/rc?.d but doesn't create them.

3. The binaries itself won't run:

p1:/root/new# /sbin/syslogd
/sbin/syslogd: can't resolve symbol 'environ'
/sbin/syslogd: can't resolve symbol '__environ'
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
p1:/root/new# /sbin/klogd
/sbin/klogd: can't resolve symbol 'environ'
/sbin/klogd: can't resolve symbol '__environ'
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
