Bug#2691: new perl break suid scripts
Michael> I thought suidperl was being gotten rid of for some reason---I
Michael> know I've never used it in my life.
If I understand my perl correctly (camel book, p374), a perl script with suid
bit call suidperl for execution, this is supposedly safe. Now if suidperl is
missing, this obviously won't work.
Michael> Have you tried adding the -T switch... That might do the trick.
No, and yes. Tried it, doesn't help.
Michael> And, just to be sure, did you make sure to re-set the suid bit
Michael> after editing the script to refer to /usr/bin/perl rather than
  Michael> /usr/bin/suidperl?
I never called /usr/bin/suidperl as you could have seen from the source to
the script I posted in the bug report.
