Yes, the debian boot disk hung here for me, too. I used a Red Hat boot
floppy to get the system on its feet. Of course, once I had everything
installed I made a custom kernel and promptly forgot about this weirdness.
I was using an NE2k clone, and have an NEC IDE CD-ROM and a Gateway
Pentium-60 MB (evil Intel board...).
