Bug#2523: configuring netstd 2.01-1 freezes up dpkg

Actually now that you mention that I seem to remember a package taking
quite a while to configure itself, very likely was netstd, when I installed
it on my new pentium, but it probably takes much much longer on a 386 :)

A warning message when something is going to take longer than a minute
certainly would be helpful. I did leave it running on the 386 for at least
5 minutes.
