This will leave some empty files in the resulting `original' source;
OK, these can be removed, but it seems likely that other things will
go ever so slightly wrong.
This approach is all very well for a one-off, but if we do this once
now we'll enshrine whatever brokenness happens into the Debian
`original' source - any errors will be propagated into future
revisions.
It would be better to have many files in the old format than a few
files that weren't *quite* right ...
