I've tried to contact him once or twice but never heard anything. I have
also made an independant debian package for sendmail (though it is 8.7.3).

I'd like to test it; I've also got my own ideas about all this since
my package is also capable of configuring itself from a script. But if
I don't have to maintain it that's fine with me :)
