Bug#2457: /var/run/X0-lock (and others?) should be removed at boot

If the system crashes with an X server running then it often won't
come up again cleanly because /var/run/X0-lock is left over.

Also, if I invoke a second X server (from inittab, say), am I
as sysadmin responsible for cleaning up the lockfile or is the xbase
package responsible ?
