I guess we could.  It seems to me that this could also be a tag in the changes
file, which would perhaps be less confusing?

Once you realize that our naming structure is going to enforce having one
upload directory per architecture, the number of upload directories starts
to get out of hand if we must maintain more than one per architecture?
