Bug#2313: xterm keymapping problems suspected

The problem with Backspace sending ^H is that it is the same as
pressing CTRL-H. Having two keys do the same things isn't usually a
problem, though it should be avoided if possible. Unfortunately,
emacs chose to map ^H to "help", so pressing Backspace brings up help
unless it is remapped. Kind of annoying, that!

I've always heard of ^? and "rubout", which seems more what the
Backspace key does.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they're not.
