Bug#1880: Compile error dpkg-1.0.5.tar.gz
Hi Ian,
sorry for missing this message when it arrived. I'm now scanning
through old bug reports for libc (just downloaded all outstanding
ones).

I understand you are concerned about sysinfo(2) not being available in
libc, and I agree. You reported that in Bug#1607, which I will deal
with separately.
In his bug report, the submitter states he isn't using a Debian
system, so there is not much I can do for him with whatever
modification to libc[45]* I make.
You are providing a version of dpkg that is supposed to compile on
non-debian systems. As I mentioned in my previous message IMHO it is
your task to make sure the system supports what you are using.
Ian> I'm reassigning this bug to libc5-dev.
Since I don't wan't to start sort of a ping-pong match, I consider it
additional information for Bug#1607 and will close it when submitting a
patch to H.J.Lu.
Thanks
Siggy
