gzip-1.2.4-8

This release closes bug report 2090, which pointed out that gzip could/should
provide links for 'compress' and 'uncompress'.  Since it seems unlikely to me
that we'll ever have a 'compress' package, and since some other applications
look for uncompress, I see no reason not to do this.
